A Word on Confidentiality
It is the BSA | The Software Alliance’s strict policy to keep all information about you confidential. We thank you for your report and will not disclose your information unless required by law to do so.
Software piracy is the unauthorised copying or distribution of copyrighted software.
This can be done by copying, downloading, sharing, selling, or installing multiple copies onto personal or work computers. It is illegal, increases security risks and results in economic harm such as loss of jobs and tax revenue.
The process is simple. Just fill out this confidential three step piracy reporting form with as much information as you can recall and submit it to BSA. Our investigative team will follow up with you as appropriate and begin their investigation of the target company. Based on your information and our investigation, BSA will then pursue the action that we feel is warranted.
To learn the progress of your report, we ask that you please e-mail us at bsa_au@bsa.org. A Business Software Alliance team member will provide you with the latest information. Please note that the investigative process is very thorough and can take several months for significant developments.
A reward may be payable only if BSA pursues an investigation and, as a direct result of the information provided by you, receives a monetary settlement from the reported organization.
